Chicago Pride Parade

Chicago Pride is easily one of my favorite weekends in the city. It's an indication that summer has finally arrived and the whole city is smiling; the energy is contagious. This year was no exception. The weekend was once again filled with great street festivals featuring local and national musicians and celebrities (The Back Lot Bash being my favorite because my former band, The Betty Fords, played it a few times), and it all culminates on Sunday when 850,000 people gather to be part of the largest parade in the city (and one of the largest in the country). Check out some of my photos from this year's parade. And remember: it's all about LOVE.

CPD leading off the parade

I love this kid.

I love this man.

Little cutie supporting The Trevor Project

One of my parade favorites - The Windy City Cowboys

Folia Brasil always has incredible costumes.

Little dude cooling off the crowd.

Here come the ladies and their bikes...

PFLAG parents always make me tear up.

Another one of my favorites - The Chicago ROTC.

Prime seating for some parade viewers.

Lots of wigs and lots of topless dancing on the floats.

Impressive dress made out of magazines.

These people know how to work with balloons.

My friends starring in their own Ray Ban commercial.

More wigs, more topless dancing.

 More cuties.
