On Tuesday I photographed Denmark's Efterklang and Philadelphia's Nightlands at Lincoln Hall. I admittedly didn't know much about either band heading into the show, but by the end of the night both had made an impression. Nightlands' magic revolves around the stunning, soaring harmonies of the band members combined with the storytelling aspect of their lyrics. The songs are about love and nostalgia and they make for beautiful little stories. Efterklang enchants through their operatic, experimental, pop songs and captivating stage presence. They are simultaneously edgy and classical in their sound, and it works. In fact, it's lovely. To see more of my photos on Lincoln Hall's Tumblr, click here.
