Brazilian Girls and DJ Zebo

Brazilian Girls and DJ Zebo started a dance party at Thalia Hall last month. Chicago's own DJ Zebo kicked off the night with a smooth set, followed by the eclectic music and enchanting presence of Brazilian Girls. Super fun show. For more of my photos, head over to Do312.

Road Trippin' through Cali

Happy Earth Day, everyone! In honor of this beautiful land we call our home, I thought I'd post some photos of a recent road trip I took with my best friend (and former bandmate) through southern California. We began our adventure in Los Angeles, slept on a farm in Three Rivers, spent the majority of our time wandering around the second oldest national park (Sequoia), and drank a ton of wine in Paso Robles. In other words, it was INCREDIBLE. I love you, California. Enjoy the photos.

On the road to Sequoia National Park...

Thanks to Airbnb, we found the most darling farmhouse in Three Rivers, just outside of the entrance of Sequoia National Park. It was our home for a couple nights - and quite a picturesque one as you'll see.

That's Dexter the horse.

 We bonded.

And I can't forget to mention the pigs! They were so cute and friendly.

 Fresh everything in the garden.

Morning walk to the river.

Looks like we're getting close to Sequoia...

Local transportation?

Sequoia National Park! I will definitely be back. It's massive and utterly breathtaking. One of the most stunning national parks I've ever seen, and one that not many have heard of. GO.

Snow in southern California? It's real.

There he blows! That's General Sherman, the largest (by volume) tree in the world.

Giant Sequoia trees everywhere. Amazing.

The park at dusk.

The next morning...

Bad weather prevented us from going to Moro Rock, so we wandered around the Giant Forest. And giants there were!

After we made our way back down to the park entrance...

...and said goodbye (for now) to Sequoia.

After leaving the park, we stopped at The Gateway for a cocktail and this was the view!

The next day we were back on the road, this time en route to Paso Robles. Perfect day.

Entering wine country! Paso Robles

A rare rain sighting in California.

Take me back!
