Anyone who knows me knows that my favorite musician in the whole world is Jeff Tweedy. Perhaps you know him as the frontman for Wilco or from his work with Uncle Tupelo, but recently he's taken on a new side project and coined it (fittingly) Tweedy. A few weeks ago he stopped by Lincoln Hall with his son and drummer for Tweedy, Spencer, and the rest of the band to record a live taping of WBEZ's Sound Opinions. Greg Kot and Jim DeRogatis interviewed Jeff and Spencer about their upcoming debut release, Sukierae, which boasts 20 songs (pure happiness for all Jeff Tweedy enthusiasts). After, the full band (Jeff, Spencer, Darin Gray, Jim Elkington and Liam Cunningham) treated the audience to a solid set of songs off the new album, ending with a few fan favorites. It was glorious. Jeff Tweedy is my favorite musician too. I'll sing it is my favorite one.
