Here is the first of three posts on the 2014 Pitchfork Music Festival, one of my favorite events of the summer. As usual, it was fantastic - tons of quality musicians, yummy craft beers, an array of art fairs and charity booths, and of course some damn good people watching. To view more of my Friday photos, head over to The Vinyl District. And stay tuned for my Saturday and Sunday Pitchfork images!
DFA Records' Factory Floor kicked off my weekend of music and proved to be one of my favorite sets of the whole fest.

Neneh Cherry was excellent. She played with RocketNumberNine.
Sharon Van Etten was the perfect sunset set. Beautiful.
In between songs she enjoyed a Goose Island and Pitchfork collaboration beer named after her and made especially for the weekend.
