D.C. Bound (and then some D.C.)

My Dad just recently celebrated a milestone birthday, so to surprise him, we went on a family vacation to our nation's capitol. My Dad was born in Washington, D.C. and his family moved to Cleveland when he was still a toddler, so we figured that returning to his birthplace was the perfect way to celebrate him. It was also my first time in D.C. and after hitting all of the touristy spots - and some not-so-touristy spots - I've come to the conclusion that it's a fantastic town. Great restaurants, great neighborhoods, great history, and great people (minus the politicians. Haha.). We drove to D.C. from Cleveland  and stopped in an adorable town in Pennsylvania (Benton) for lunch. Below are a few photos from the road trip and some D.C. shots as well. More of D.C. to come in my next post!

The Albert Einstein Memorial. Right on!
