Chicago's music festival season came to a close a few weeks ago (sob!) at the Hideout Block Party & Onion A.V. Fest. It was a beautiful Saturday packed with great music. The highlights for me included Sylvan Esso's dance moves, Mac DeMarco's epic crowd surfing, and The War on Drugs' (pictured above) closing set. To view more of my photos, head over to Do312.
Sylvan Esso. If you haven't checked out their debut self-titled album yet, I recommend you do so. It's gotten a lot of play in my home this summer.
Hideout co-owner, Tim Tuten, introduces Mac DeMarco. (By the way, The Hideout is straight up one of my favorite concert venues in the whole city. Go see a show there.)
Mac DeMarco. Love him, love his music, love his live shows.
The funky METERS brought the funk in from New Orleans.
Cutest fan ever?! Yes.
Look! A manny pack.
The War on Drugs. I certainly hope you've given their AOTY (album of the year) contender, Lost in a Dream, a spin! It's gorgeous.
