Jamie Lidell brought his brand of electronic soul and funk to Lincoln Hall earlier in the month. For those of you who are familiar with Lidell, it will come as no surprise to learn that his live performance is better than ever. The crowd danced and sang along with Lidell as he stood behind what appeared to be a magical, musical spaceship and put on his one-man show of cool visuals, beautiful lighting, and solid tunes. Go see him live, people! He is awesome. Brooklyn newcomer Empress Of opened the evening with her hazy electropop. Keep an eye out for her this year.
