Last Thursday I hopped over to Schubas to photograph Doldrums and Sean Nicholas Savage. Rather than try to explain Doldrums' sound myself, I'll just steal this excellent and accurate explanation from No Pain In Pop: it's "a sea of chopped up samples, disembodied vocals and tribal percussion. Electro-hallucinogenic freak outs and fuzzy warm nostalgia." Exactly. And they put on a fun show. Sean Nicholas Savage warmed the audience up with a mixture of poetry, humor, and pretty pop songs about love and heartbreak. For more photos, head over to Schubas' tumblr here.
