Well I can now officially scratch "attend a Renaissance Faire" off the bucket list. A couple weekends ago, a few of my friends and I packed ourselves into the car for a day trip north, to the Bristol Renaissance Faire on the Illinois/Wisconsin border. We didn't really know what to expect, but I think it's safe to say that all of our expectations were exceeded. It was so much fun! We drank mead, attempted to fit in by adopting terrible English accents and saying things like, "good morrow" and "huzzah!", and took in some of the greatest people-watching in the history of people-watching. This is definitely going to be an annual trip.
Fancy a game of chess?
Ren baby
Barely Balanced = impressive
Dumbledore lives!
The pirate and princesses didn't know what to make of this fish out of water.
We listened to some musicians at one of the many pubs.
I mean...is this a scene from a Shakespeare production or is that just a couple eating lunch in the shade? Shockingly, the latter.
Brings a whole new meaning to "bag lady"
This was not part of a performance. They were all just sitting like this eating lunch.
