Autumn in Chikaming Township, Michigan

My wife and I love autumn, so a two-night minimoon in Chikaming Township, Michigan immediately following our wedding was a no-brainer. We rented the most perfectly charming cabin in the woods, which happens to be owned by artists and sculptors Linda Hoffhines and Floyd Gompf. Their work is amazing and the whole environment is so inspiring that I could barely put my camera down. We had such a wonderful time that we're already planning our return. Happy Fall everyone!

Inside the cabin. Linda's horse (made from bottle caps) and a couple of Floyd's tables.

So cool.

We hit the road to check out the area...

And began our adventure at a huge pumpkin farm (the name is escaping me).

Then we had a delicious lunch at Greenbush Brewing Company

After, we popped into Journeyman Distillery for one of their mouthwatering cocktails.

Before heading back to Chicago, we roamed around the Warren Dunes State Park.

Happy family

Rhode Island

Near the end of September, I had the absolute pleasure of traveling to Rhode Island for the first time to witness two of my friends get married in an incredibly beautiful setting (Little Compton, RI). The wedding was spectacular, as was all of Rhode Island. I would officially like to retire there and spend the remainder of my life eating oysters and drinking champagne on a boat. Before heading to Little Compton, my wife (as of 12 days ago!!!) and I spent the night in darling city of Newport. I thought I'd share a few photos from the trip.
